Pro Acryl?

I’m seeing this paint pop up in my feed.

Thoughts?? I’m always looking for a new green.

I have them but don’t use them much, I have too many paint brands and focus on a couple. When I have used them and everything was fine, on par with leading brands. I’d say they are similar to more “figure focused” brands (Scale 75, Andrea, the new AK) but that’s my non-technical opinion.

I bought them when they first released, and I too have not used them that much.

Their bottles are quite larger than Vallejos (like two eyedroppers per Monument Hobby bottle) or any of the eye dropper bottles, and you can see the paint more easily inside them. I say that they don’t separate pigment from thinner as easily as Vallejos because I have yet to see any color separations in the bottles.

I did use them to paint a few pieces, and they paint extremely smoothly, more so than Vallejos. However, they don’t have any military colors, just colors geared towards Wargame figures.

I also found that water wash-up was extremely easy compared to Vallejos.

I may have airbrushed one of the colors…I don’t remember, and if I did, it airbrushed extremely well compared to Gunze Sanyo or Tamiya that requires all this thinner mixing, Flat Base, etc.

These days, I normally use AK Interactive Markers for painting as I find that’s the easiest, fastest, and requires no cleanup. The PlayMarkers are a different story as those have a tendency to run and dribble on the figures that I’m painting. Note that AK Interactive’s PlayMarkers don’t work well on extremely smooth primed figures as the marker paint will just wipe off as the AK Interactive PlayMarkers have no “bite” into the primer.

Monument Hobbies paints are Made in the USA. I ordered direct from them and they delivered fast and well. You can also order them from Amazon although I don’t think that you will get a sale discount, but if you have Amazon (payback) credit, it helps.

I too have a couple of their colours and as well haven’t used them much. The colours are what I would consider bright. I only have white and red.

They were highly recommended by my LHS that they are very good quality and spray well.
