Would this qualify?
The more I think about it, probably not as it’s not an inspection vehicle. Would been a better question for the other Rail campaign that just ended.
Whoa! “Pole Road” wheels. Well if it does not qualify then I don’t know who would volunteer to be one to tell it that ![]()
Wow!!! Holy Smoke, beat that for inventive problem solving.
That Mack on those super-wide rims is just gorgeous!
That certainly warrants a model.
Suggestion: Invent a rail inspection/servicing/maintenance truck.
Maybe they had one even if there isn’t a photo of it …
How close are we keeping to the “inspection” part of the rules? Seems we’ve got a number of working rail vehicles being proposed, but used to move stuff rather than just check on the railway…
I agree, I like that the “rails” are logs making it unique.
Found a thread that talked about using this pulleys for the wheels.
Not sure what the rear/trailer would look like. Might have to make some guesses.
Never heard of those two (three?) words used together. ![]()
Interesting….
Lots of good rail car/truck ideas here:
I love the Rowland Emett stuff but building a Track Inspection Vehicle for it would be… interesting. Something like this might be a starting point…

Found another source for G parts: Trucks
IIRC there was a HO-scale running model of the Zep from one of the German makers - Marklin? Fleishmann?
Märklin it was.
A better video of the Schienenzeppelin.
