occasionally youtube has amazing litte gems that are truly amazing, this is rare silent black and white footage of troops in Osterbeek near Arnhem during Operation Market Garden.
Fascinating footage.
Filmed at great personal risk too, especially the shots of the German vehicles travelling along road. A grim fate if he’d been caught.

If you haven’t seen it there is a film made in 1946 by the paras and includes a Panther acting as a Panther.
Theirs is the Glory, ah found a copy on YouTube

watching all this original film is interesting in some of the things i would have liked to have seen, namely the Welbike which was used at Arnhem by 1 Para. I don’t even think they made it into the film “A Bridge Too Far”
