I chose the AFV M88A1 kit along with interior and A2 Hercules conversion kits. Hanging in the wind is the Reyfield M1A2 engine pack with some scratch details.
Additional kit from:
Voyager - P.E.
Legend - Interior Kit
Aber - M2 modern kit
Live Resin - SAG Turret
Archer - Interior Markings
T-REX - Fuel and Water Cans
Legend - Crew Figure
This will be a series of photo dumps for the sake of sharing

Very nice. It came out looking great. I was thinking of hanging an engine under mine too.

Excellent work there David. I have the old AFV Club M88 and have always wanted to do an up-armored version.

if I didn’t know I would have thought this was some pics of a real Herc.

Love it. This sure is a unique subject and head turner among armors.

The Reyfield M1A1/A2 w/full Interior kit is an excellent companion

One thing I did do but the pics I took do not really illustrate it well is that I forward loaded the suspension since I was going to hang the pack off the boom. It is my understanding that when loaded with the pack on the boom the front will dip a bit under the load.

You are correct in that thought. I will dig out and post picture of me lifting a M113 with my 88 when I was a young solder. We were using it to set a new hoist cable we had installed.

It depends if they use the front blade or not…

Very nice! Did you use the MR Modellbau interior? I got one decades ago, didn’t use most of it, but used the parts as templates to scratch build a lot of it, along with tool racks and better radio racks

Hi!
Beautiful build and weathering! It looks as if you left off the blade extensions. You may check this again, with the extensions the blade is as wide as per over the tracks. Commonly these are fitted to M88.
