Recommended hobby shops in these areas

Jacksonville, FL
Savanna, GA
Macon, GA
Columbus, Ga
Atlanta, Ga
Thanks, If any?

ATLANTA: As far as Atlanta all you really have is the HobbyTown in Kennesaw which is also the nation’s largest HT. There is another in Buford but they are mostly RC and car models. Armor is mainly Tamiya/Trumpeter.

MACON: I have driven through Macon at least twice a year for 17 years and not found a compelling reason to stop for other than gas.

JACKSONVILLE: I haven’t spent a lot of time in Jax since 1994, but on a 2018 trip to St. Augustine I found Hurricane Hobbies at 11629 San Jose Blvd. JAX, FL 32223. They are mostly RC but have a decent kit selection, especially automotive subjects.

(And in case you’re wondering Gainesville and Ocala are devoid of anything beyond Hobby Lobby. There is a tiny shop south of Ocala but he is mostly trains and tends to special order kits rather than carry them in-store.)

AND THE REST: Savannah and Columbus I have not had a chance to visit as I am in the NW corner of GA, and I am generally on my way to central Florida when I pass near them.

There is a train shop in Savannah named Bull Street Station at 307 Kentucky Ave. It has only train stuff, but does have supplies like paint, sheet styrene, etc.

Ok, laughing at the Macon comment cause that sums it up!

I’ll probably stop here in Macon- https://thebighousemuseum.com/

Sounds good.

There is the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum just outside Savannah in Pooler, GA. A really nice museum.

Thanks! I forgot about that.
I haven’t been down in GA for a few years. I was stationed at Stewart in the late '80s and hope to check out parts of Stewart as well.
Here’s another museum outside Macon- https://museumofaviation.org/
