Morning all, I’m looking at this as a future project and had a couple of questions for our experts. What size would these pods be and does anyone make them in 1/35? Also, is this setup gravity fed or is there a pump system that I’m not seeing? I plan to put this with a rome plow crew refueling in the cut. Thanks Wayne
These tanks could be a start.

I’m wondering if these are the 600 gallon pods? They were made by PSM at one time but I think they’re OOP now.
HobbyLink of Vietnam are planning to make them AIUI. These are the PSM ones for comparison with your pic.
Just found this one on Pinter, captioned 11th ACR, also a possibility. I have the old Verlinden set and I think, one from MMK. Wayne
The tanks in the original M548 pic are standard 600-gal pods and appear to be gravity fed as I don’t see a pump system present.
Either the PSM ones or Hobby Link set would work. You could also print them if you have access to a 3D printer.
Looks like the pump when fitted extended beyond the rear of the cargo bed…
No pump :
There’s also a set available from MMK

Hi Hermann, they’re still in production then? An excellent product and a great fit for a number of applications.
Thanks guys for all the responses. I can see possibilities for a number of scenarios, land clearing, acav units and armor. That’s what is great about this site, always sharing ideas. Appreciate you all! Wayne
This are the same used by IDF?
That 3rd picture was kinda what I was thinking, just with one of the plows backed up to it. Wyane
PSM homepage list it as available.
I also thought the old steamer trunk in the original picture was kinda cool too! First glance I thought it was a foot locker, but has all that metal trim. Soldier ingenuity or something like that. Wayne
Hey Gino, are they making the pump and hosereel unit for these pods?
Not that I know of. I haven’t come across any on any of the 3D sites anyways.
Very realistic pumps can be relatively easily scratched from old AMT parts that you’ll never even see when you don’t use them. It’s not hard to imagine how I know this. ![]()
Hose reels, even easier.
From what kind of kits? Looks like maybe trucks in 1/24 or 1/43? Wayne
As an aside thought, does anybody have pictures of the cab canvas framing? The pictures I like have just the rear frame or the back canvas.
Thanks Frenchy, those show it well. Wayne
I’ve got a pair of these tanks on the way, thinking a gravity-feed M548 would be a nice project. Still need hosereels though, any way you could point me to a how-to for these?
