Here are the first successful 3D prints, other than the main floor, towards completing my M548 fueler.
This just leaves printing the 2nd frame to support the “dished” bed that the bladders will rest in. The one at top left of the pic failed due to a lack of supports. I’m going to try and print a cage for the pump and I added a second hose reel to the printing process as I wanted the track to look a little more like the one up-post.
There’s a lot to learn in this 3D printing game, but anyway…..

Better results today, I used the auto support feature on the chitubox advanced.
These are almost the last prints I need for this build. Just a frame for the pump to go.

Hey Wayne, guess so. Been a ton of delays getting the 3D Printing set-up, but I think I’m ready to clean up and get paint on the fuelling gear and then get the super glue out.

Question for our subject experts; (Hi Frenchy) the Steel Oxide bladder and pump set I’m working with has the correct curved bed for each bladder to sit on. My question is, being the set provides both a thicker and a thinner curved bed, does anyone know which goes at the front and which one at the back?
Thicker one at the front of the bed makes sense to me as it will always be where the full one sits.
But, then again what do I know?
Help!
ETA Google says the thicker platform goes at the front. I’m good with that unless I hear different from you folk.

Update, the 2nd floor included in the AFV Club kit needs to go in under the pump deck. Also, both the 2nd floor and the pump deck need to be shortened to create a storage area at the very back of the floor and pump deck. That pic up post shows a fire extinguisher stored there.
The mounting platforms for the 2 bladders are a dry fit atm.

That pump and reel deck (skid-mounted) is like the one Hobby Link sell isn’t it? I built a 5-ton with that set-up coupled to 2 600gallon s/m pods and an M105 trailer last year. There’s another set in the stash, to go on a second M548 sometime.

OK, not wanting to sound like a broken record, the bows on the Chapparal look nothing like the ones for the cargo version, pictured above. I realise that the cargo version needed reenforcement for the loading boom Not so worried about the boom, but what the bare setup looks like, and how was the boom attached? Any pictures? Wayne

A little progress with the build. Prepared the MMK photo etch and stripped some detail from the bladder valve areas to allow placement of the pe. Bladders are finished in Vallejo Tire Black. The floor extension and pump deck (wrong way around in pic) are shortened to allow a storage area at the back of the wagon. The newly-printed pump is in the foreground, nice little unit from Cults, width adjusted to fit the side shelf.
More progress tomorrow.
