Reposted - "Wait for My Command!" Diorama

This topic originally is a reposted topic from a thread with similar title that I ever been posted before in old version of Armorama. To be honest, I still sad and broken with no transferable option for lot of my postings in the old version to the new one. So, I decide to repost the remains of my topics that I able to recover.

Quoting part of my description from the old posts:
"…The diorama inspired from generally known scene during combat, representation of an ambush situation in WW II by several US airborne troops toward PAK 40 AT gun crews.

Constructive critics and feedbacks are welcome. Similar with my previous topic, I hope that my post about this project will be useful for all of us. Also, this post could be a valuable lesson for me and enrich my ideas

I’m still sorry for the quality of the photographs, since I simply use my handphone camera to create them…"

After quite some time, I feel somewhat less about the uniform of the Heer AT crew figures, quoting part of my description from the old posts:
"…one minor improvement when I feel unsatisfied about the soldaten’s uniform basic color, since I intend that the AT-gun were operated by Heer crew, not Luftwaffe, so I hope no blue uniform anymore! ! A field grey acrylic paint from Tamiya was applied through them. Minor details just a little bit increased.

Any constructive critics and comments? Do not hesitate to reply this post, since I always try to learn and learn more. Furthermore, I hope fun and enjoy from this improvement sharing for all of us…"

And here we go with the improvement results:

Be kind for any additional comments and critics please, since I do NO research or something at all for accuracy of the events of this diorama project. Just feel happy when it’s done and improved. By the way, here is the web address to the archived post:

Nice little scene. One thing you could consider for any future ones is the way things like personal equipment/rifles are carried. The way the rifles are located on the troops backs, make it look like they are floating there. The simple and relatively easy inclusion of a rifle sling really does make a big visual difference to it all. All thats needed is some finely cut silver foil or masking tape into lengths and painted and the then attached to the rifle and around or hidden about the figure etc.

Very nice scene Garry. Luftwaffe units did use the 75mm anti tank gun in their Falschirmjager units I believe, so that is correct. But your figures are not Falschirmjager. Luftwaffe ground units maybe?
Anyway your figures look good in field grey.

You’re right about the rifle sling. Not yet in my mind before, even I already made a long list to be performed like detailing of canteen, ammo pouch, shoulder rank, rifle, Y-strap, bla bla bla, so on. Yep, that’s my minus point when busy on it: still on minor details, losing mood, and not enough patience to called the project as ‘Done’. Many thanks @Johnnych01 for your appreciation and the improvement idea.

Kind regards,

Not in my mind at all to attaching the German figures as Fallschirmjager nor the Luftwaffe ground crew. Just using the all-in-the-box set of DML 6433 (PAK-40 w/Heer Gun Crew). No detailed research, just wanna to put an idea about the ambush of the gun crew by the US paratroopers from the ruined building somewhere in Normandy. Very glad and really many thanks for your appreciation mate @metalhead85 .

Kind regards,

Setuju dgn komentar dri yg lain tentang ambin dll tetapi, selain itu, saya suka!

Yes - despite the minor faults mentioned by others, you’ve made big improvements to the original scene. I also like the backgrounds, all completely believable. And maybe best of all, your photography and perspectives are excellent compared to the original. Bravo, I’d like to see more of your work!
