After weeks with my friend at the library, we determined we need to print any figures with resin because nothing else worked properly. The problem is we cannot do it ourselves-resin printers are far too dangerous and toxic. I would gladly pay to have someone make such figures but I don’t know where.
I have used pcbway to get some done before i had a resin printer.
There were limits to the detail they could print still they couldn’t do some of my items, but the have various printing options to choose from, and even for aus their prices and shipping for small items were not unreasonable.
Have you looked at Shapeways? That is essentially a 3D printing service that offers up what you’re looking for.
Do you have a local hobby/gaming store? Ours offers a printing services that is reasonable priced.
Cults is very good. Try them.
Isn’t shapeways done as a 3d printing business? I know miniature companies who used them and now have to find alternatives.
Shapeways quality did not evolve fast enough and any home printer could do much better today -not sure if they have resurrected and improved their printers.
I think you could find a commercial printing service in any mid size town nowadays, also if you contact a modelling/warhammer/bolt action club, you will probably find someone who can print it for you, just a matter of agreeing the price.
I don’t think Cults3D actually prints anything.
Look around for a Makerspace near you. You can design and print your own 3D pieces without having to clutter your house up with yet another “area” like the reloading area, the painting area, etc. And no ventilation worries. Plus they usually have car lifts, lathes, welding machines. Your wife will be happy too.
But where is the fun in that?
My last print took almost 17 hours to complete. That would need two trips to the business to make happen. I started it after dinner one evening and finished the process the next day before lunch. Yes it’s nice that such a business is available, but the convenience of your own set up is hard to beat.
