First post here so hopefully all goes well, I haven’t built any armor in years and I’am rusty.
Great start! I’m looking forward to this build.
Looking good. Is that the additional RFM Rado Set? It looks pretty nice.
Welcome aboard. You seems to be doing pretty well by the looks of things.
Thanks everyone for the positive comments, the work here is truly amazing and I feel privileged to be a part of this community. I have Def models wheels on the way along with some Quinta seatbelts . Frame needs weathering, it was only given a wash then dry brushed with oils and waiting for it to dry.
You’re banging it out!
I’ll be following this one to see the results… nice work.
Hey Steve and welcome to Armorama! You sure picked the right site to become a member of. Happy, helpful members here and an endless supply of knowledge, both historical and modeling. Your M-ATV looks excellent so far. Great work. For someone who’s rusty you sure know what you’re doing!
Again I must thank everyone who has commented and taken a look. Getting some plumbing done on the C7, part I like best and next up will be the radiator. Cat still needs dry brushing and weathering but it’s starting to look like a power plant.
I’ve been able to get some items completed in between work and household duties, the wiring harness bundle next to the drivers seat is too thick but it’s gonna stay like that .
Thanks for all that have shown an interest in this subject and my work, I haven’t been to any armor related shows since AMPs in the late 90’s😩
A few more pictures and I did end up correcting the harness but it’s not included in these pictures, it was just too much for me to handle.
Keep on rocking
I learned something here, I really like the idea of pre wiring the kit parts, then installing them. I imagine it makes the wiring look more realistic and probably easier to install. Never crossed my mind to do it this way.
Amazing work by the way.
This is looking great! You wouldn’t happen to be an electrician by chance?
Hey thank you guys for your interest and comments, I haven’t built any armor in probably 15 years and no, I’am not an electrician!
@Steve_Nichols, nicely done on the wiring job on the radio and engine. You are doing wonderful. Keep it coming!
Here’s a small update from the Oshkosh factory.
Wheels are on but not completely weathered, the seats are in need of a 100% rebuild so that’s next on the list and the seat belts arrived from across the pond but they need some tweaks. Applied a wash to the capsule interior with some dry brushing up next which should start to bring things to life.
Stryker 45 thanks for the encouragement, it’s needed at this point !
This is looking incredible!
Steve your detailing is impeccable! This is a truly great build. You certainly haven’t lost your mojo over the years of not building. Everything looks outstanding!
