Damn that pie looks delicious!

But the crust is a tad over-weathered for my taste :pie: :upside_down_face:

Thank you, I believe the highest honor for a chicken is getting fried followed by ending up in chicken pie. As for over weathering, I blame the pepper grinder…wink.

Ossie, thank you! I saw Missing Lynx lots of cool stuff going on! Alkett build sounds very interesting.

We had something come up that’s going to cut deep into hobby time so I pushed it pretty hard today and paid the price. I think it’s still fixable etc just the nature of the beast…broke probably four road wheels using a mask that was a hair tight, popped four wing nuts off and recovered two, will have to replace two.

Shot Floquil Military Color Panzer Dark Yellow and and was very happy with how it went down thinned with Mr Color Leveling Thinner.

However, keeping with the clumsy theme also dropped my airbrush and bent the needle tip. Didn’t catch until after the chipping fluid went down. After airbrush repairs, shot the winter white wash with Tamiya White and a touch of buff.

Have a lot more chipping to do and will have a ton of paint touch up to as well.

Not much hobby time today. Painted a few details and worked on touch ups. Lot of touch ups to go.

Can’t decide if the main barrel in black lacquer would look gangster or stupid with winter white wash.

Saw this and the episode from AusArmour’s “Workshop Wednesday” came to my head.

Can’t you do both? Black and whitewash?
I always had a soft spot for stupid gangsters.

Full interior…?

Watto, they don’t call me Buttoned Up Buff Always (BuBa) for nothing…wink nudge!

The RFM kit looks like its designed for an interior and probably a very nice one given what’s there for the partial.

Al, that’s a good ideal and I’ll probably give that a shot.

BuBa in action, pin wash & dry brushing…

…more details to paint, plus wash & dry brush…my favorite thing on this model is those counter sunk flat heads screws on the roof…RFM really nailed that detail.

Only half a dozen or so wing nuts to replace…harsh nature of my drybrushing.

Minor update, had a toe nail removed today. It wasn’t happy sitting at the desk today very long.

Went with black lacquer finish for the barrel w/white wash. Detail painting and tweaked various the edges with a dull red-oxide paint.

Tweaked edges

Have a few more spots to tweak…

Surgery or trauma?

Outpatient, it went pretty well all in all. All is good when elevated. Hopefully, make some model progress today maybe shoot gloss coat.

Doctor asked does the sight of blood bother you? Replied, only if it’s my blood. She cracked up startled, laughed saying well it certainly wasn’t going to be hers unless something went very wrong. Survived without out passing out.

Went to the doctor once for an ingrown toenail. He cut it in half with a pair of nippers and yanked it out before I knew what was happening! Will never do that again.

Did you get half out like me, or the whole thing?

All, no half measures. It wasn’t nuked so eventually it will return.

My old painting shoes are DOA after recent “modifications” in a few days.

Had to evict Joey cat…

Getting the Stug III G ready for decals applied a gloss coat per my normal procedure.

Shot per directions at 15 to 20 psi, 3 light coats in one of those pictures…I can’t tell the difference in before & after.

Decided I don’t care for AquaGloss so it went in the trash. Usually I’m a fan of Alclad products but not that one.

Reshot the gloss coat last night so decals went on this morning. I think Echlon made a good quality decal sheet as far as the technical aspects.

One gets the name printed in black & white which I used as the registration was excellent to my eye. For the Experten there a black printed decal and a white printed decal so one can do the registration to one’s own satisfaction.

Will let this dry and hit with another layer of gloss coat late tonight. Then it will be oil dot time for some vertical streaking.

Added vertical streaking…

…calling the white wash wrapped. It will need to cure a few days before flat coat. Touch ups, repairs & tracks to follow.
