RFM VK 45.01 (H) build

Having problems-most holes are smaller than the pins.
I’ve built this set before and it was perfect.
Pretty surprised.

My experience with TREX track is they always need the occasional drill bit to help them along.

What I find shocking is that I built this set before and had no problems.

Got tired of fighting the track so painted the barrel gray
Then I noticed the huge seam at the muzzle brake…

Are you painting the tank uniformly gray, or do you want that “newly manufactured in heat proof lacquer” effect on the gun barrel?

I’m digging this color.

I did not know Mission Models paint could be sprayed straight from the bottle with success.

I gave up on that line years ago because I wasn’t smart enough to figure out the mix with their thinners, polly additives and all that other jazz they recommend .

Me too!
I have a few more of their colors that a buddy gave to me as he was frustrated with their effort.
I’m going to give them a relook.

I haven’t built any WWII German armor in years but after seeing this version of red oxide, I’d seriously consider getting one of these Amusing Hobby Elefants just for the red oxide/white chalk contrast:

Yes! Dragon does this as well.

The Dragon kit is $$$.

Got the right side done.

Have to tweek it a bit.

Have you bought the kit yet?

Not yet. Still considering it.

Edited to add:

I’ll probably pass on it for the moment.
