Despite the proximity - a mere 7 miles or so - I did not attend (hors de combat still) but my modelling mate, Pete Smith, did. As is his wont, he produced a show report and the link to his blog is here:
My pleasure; normally a good show though Pete reports that nothing set him on fire, but then his Mojo has gone AWOL for a bit; in any case, he didn’t find anything to resurrect it(!) 'Happens to us all mind.
Others have reported that numbers were down, though the show organisers claimed otherwise. Perhaps just the ebb and flow of things.
I’m sorry I missed it, although any show seems to enthuse and depress in equal measure(!)
There are - although the shade of green on one of the early Stalwart pics left me gasping; ditto the “Blitzkrieg in the West” pic - second to last I think - Jeez - you couldn’t get many more vehicles rammed on that base could you?
I am sorry not to have been able to go; for some reason the weather is always perfect on the day, and afterwards me and Pete would always go for a pub lunch somewhere. A pint always helped the post-show discussion!
As usual I find myself drawn to the British vehicles and aircraft. I’d have loved to see a side on of the Trojan and the Bedford MK pod. There are some excellent Stalwarts there and the Foden IMMLC with the pod rack on the back .Even the disco Stally looks well put together.
Yeah, seen. They do some great stuff and manufacturer accessories as well. They’re quite a good bunch. I dislike though their display; in using the Union flag as a display background I find it greatly distracts, but perhaps that’s just me.
