Just returned from an extended visit to Scalemodelworld 2025. Apart form the show weekend, a number of us also visited RAF Cosford, the Midland Air museum and the National Motor Museum at Gaydon.
This link will take you to some (around 250) pictures I took at the main show. Club display’s and competition pictures are included.
Inevitable additions were surprisingly few, Brian!
On the AFV side a couple of Aber metal barrels, one each for an Italeri and a Takom M47, along with STAR decals M47 Nato South decal set (Portugal, Italy and Greece). Some clues there as to what I’m doing at the moment!
Aircraft, did well with an ICM 1/48 KDA-1 Ryan Firebee drone, a 1/72 AZ models He-162 (given to me by a colleague), some 1/72 etch for an F-16, canopy masks for same and a couple of Reskit 1/72 Harm missiles to keep it company. The F-16 items are for the new 1/72 ICM F-16 I picked up a while back.
On the book front, a couple of Valiant Wings publications for the early and late versions of the P-51 Mustang.
And finally I picked up some Zero paints and thinners.
I was tempted by a number of other items including the 1/35 AK Trabi 601 S and 1/35 AK M1008 Troop carrier. The former as I loved the look of the white with green door Dresdedn Police version, and the latter to add to my collection of “Technical” vehicles from Middle eastern trouble spots!
Too many others in the stash though, so some common sense prevailed!
That is great coverage, and I like the way it has been sequenced by Hall, then club/SIG in the order they appeared in the show. I was able to find my two clubs, Poole Vikings and Poole Scale Modellers, very quickly.
