Sci-Fi and Alternative history campaign X

Definitely one for the back burner to revive one day… It’s a cracking build and deserves to be finished, just for the effort you put into it. Mighty fine work :+1:

Got the main body done, except where the clear parts go…as I need to do touchup spraying. Now on to the solar panels which is a kit in itself.

One thing I am not sure of, looking for some opinions. The Empire’s ships and gear was pretty much pristine, where the Rebellion’s ships and gear had that used and grimy look.
Should the panel lines be highlighted?..

Here I did a small section…what do you guys think?

Neat thing about Star Wars kits…I always try to find armor model parts on the kits…

A Sherman suspension…

A Panther? track…

A MP40 ammo pouch…

Got one of the solar panels put together…a 10 ml Tamiya bottle to show how big these panels are.

These are some pics of a TIE model said to be one of the ANH ILM models…no panel lines…how ever I do like the look with the panel lines being done…I also may hit the wings with a dullcoat…as right now they are Tamiya semi-gloss black…and they seem to shiny, and show every flaw.

That shows more decals than I expected on the movie model.

I think the panel lines give it a bit more definition.

I’m still impressed with the size of the Revell Outland TIE… I still think it’s 1/32 to 1/35 …

Apocalypse WOLF for comparison…

I saw your TIE earlier, did you paint the panels flat black?

Yes, I did not know either…as they go by so fast in the movies…there is a whole sheet of decals I have yet to put on the outside…many are very small of course.

I think it looks SO much better with the panel liner on it. It gives the model depth and definition.

Still pushing along with the anti-g service truck:

Up front added visors, headlights, and on and on - so coming along.

And - built this - feel free to guess what it will be!

Is that a wind power turbine electric generator with a antenna for remote on/off? Or is that a multipurpose welding, mechanical, and diagnostic tower?

I agree. It was enjoyable watching the progress. Hope it comes back for the next campaign; it’s going to be awesome when completed. :+1:

Had to chuckle to myself after just building the kit…this is a picture at Wonderfest, from the Round 2 sales booth…they show the misaligned pieces also on their display…
