Sd.Kfz. 254 interior build

I once identified this unknown as a 254. Was it so?

Yes, David, that is so. The radio system is FU7. This image helped me with the dashboard and seats.

I’ve got this kit in the stash and now I’m thinking about starting it thanks to your build!

That’s good, Dan. I expect it’s a straightforward build without doing an interior. Any plans to modify the basic kit?

No, I’ve thought of AMwheels.

Nearing the end… decals on and most hatches added and mixed-pigment experiment pretty much complete… just some tweaking to knock it back a bit….

The whole effort is amazing. Thank you for letting us follow along. The engine deck looks like a nice place for an air recognition flag.

Thanks. Let’s hope I can make the exterior better than it is!

Yeah, true. I am trying to work on my ability to weather and contrast flat areas better for DAK vehicles so I want to experiment on that surface area.

Tone down the pigments, emphasised the weld seams and some streaking with oils and a lighter enamel on top. I think it’s coming together…

Truly excellent in every respect. I would kill to see this model in person.

Thanks, Matt. Not sure I can bear to throw this one away after the diorama is done…

There’s a challenge… I’ve got to many other projects lined up, so probably will never happen.

You throw your finished works away? Say it ain’t so!

Sounds like pure madness. I’d sell mine at the very least. Plus, the plastic will end up in your brain if you throw it away.
