Shameless Self Promotion

Not sure where this belongs, but I thought we should have a topic dedicated to showing off our hard earned hardware from shows. Past or present.

Not being the shy type I’m posting my results from MosquitoCon 34 held yesterday.

First Place for SP Artillery, First Place for Post 1945 Armored Vehicle, and Best Vietnam subject.

Show us yours.

Excellent models DV and congratulations on your awards, obviously well earned. One of these days I’m gonna have to get to that show. It’s only about an hour and a half from me .

Wasn’t a bad show. Nice snack bar if a bit pricey but good selection and it’s convenient. Vendors were a bit disappointing from an armor perspective.

Excellent job and well deserved recognition!

All three look awesome, but that M48 really stands out. The paint job looks superb

Thanks for the kind words. The M48 is one of my favorite AFVs.

Mine as well! Is that the Takom kit? I have their M48A5 in the stash, might need to add an A3

Excellent and congratulations. Still a good con but there were way less vendors than past years.

Yes it is. No issues that I recall.

Here is what I brought home from this year’s Mosquito con - models themselves are inaccessible at the moment.

I couldn’t attend last year’s show but these are from 2024 ..

It is indeed a great show and a tip of the hat to all club members - they put in a lot of work to make this a success. It would be nice meet up with other members of Kitmaker - I wish I had known who was going to attend. Maybe for next year some plans could be made to do just that.

Cheers - RT

Here is another - My very first IPMS contest - 2016 Nats in South Carolina. Talked into entering by my brother in law Jim . Second place for largely scratch built Japanese Hucks type aircraft starter truck based on Hasegawa 1/48 Isuzu truck.

I was there also my first IPMS Nationals as well. I’ll see if I can dig out my award and post it.
