Sherman kits

I have a goal. I want to build a collection of tanks that represent the various armies. So far I have a Panzer iv J and a Tiger 1. That’s a bread and butter German tank and a Tiger which was the ‘scary’ German tank. Then the Sherman as the bread and butter US tank. Er that’s where I hiccuped. The Firefly is a British tank. Oh well. So next on my list is a US Sherman. Then a British designed tank. (Suggestions?). I have a hankering for the Australian M3. Then I have to look for a Japanese tank. Oh and don’t forget the T34. So see the method in my madness? No?

That’s how I work. I don’t just buy because I like something. I buy for a purpose. Mad?

For a British built tank I’d recommend Tamiya’s Matilda II or cromwell or an AFV club Churchill, for me they scream British built.

The A34 Comet, definitely Comet for the UK. It has modified 17 pounders on an enlarged Cromwell chassis, a hybrid of the other 2 iconic.

As for the British design… Hands down . Those beautiful big girls wearing skirts . The Iconic Churchill

Might have been answered before…just lazy in my research. So here goes:

Can Asuka 1/35 Sherman suspension kits be used on other kits not Tasca/Asuka?? If so, which ones?? Please be specific!

Yes they can, but you might need to do some minor adjustments.

you are correct, but the kit was designed by the guy who was the lead designer for Asuka. He later went to work for Tamiya, and desined the kit. That’s why it looks like an Asuka kit.
No one has mentioned it, but the Meng kits seriously looks the part

Thanx all…love the Shermans. But by all means, other comments are still welcomed!
