Sinai Gray

A friend bought the IDF M-48 conversion I had for sale and I’m helping him build it

He has never been able to paint a whole model with an airbrush, and they don’t have “Sinai Gray” in a spray, so he was wondering if Euro I Gray or SAC Bomber Green would be the closes to it

“Sinai Gray” seems to vary greatly - from brown-ish to green-ish to gray-ish.

What year? It’s actually SAC Bomber Tan I used to use - cut a little with white.

I’m told by two brothers who served then than it looked good to them, for ‘82.

Hi!

From what I know Sinai Grey during the YKW in 1973 varied greatly, from what I can tell it was either the same as the 1967 Sinai Grey or extremely similar. Tamiya calls the TS-46 spray can for the 1967 Sinai Grey in their M-51 offering, I’ve used it before on a 1967 m48 a while back and I thought it worked good. If it’s too light you or your friend’s taste you could tone it down with weathering and filters or such.

Hope you find what you’re looking for!
