Thinking of how fast those 30 some odd years have passed, I don’t see how thoes 90 kits in my stash are going to get built…
True that !!!
That’s why I’m more than content with my stash of 10 Greg … Keep it simple and manageable
Don’t complain about the gray hair. It’s better than no hair.
Just like a good wine : it improves with age…
Wow, so many active and former military members!
Military history is my hobby, and I just joined the Canadian reserve force recently to up my love for the hobby a little more.
Erwin, good pic - is that the Banja Luka Metal Factory?
Indeed. That was where I was stationed…
I did around 7 months there back in 97; I was frantically busy but overall had a good tour.
Nice! Hiroshima?
I was there much later: from 30-10-2001 till 26-4-2002.
I also had a good time. Mostly hanging around with the British signal company, raf detachment and the posties…
No reason to be shy. Compared to our pictures, you fit in fine!
Now there’s a couple of words one doesn’t noramlly see together (sorry, my sense of humour) Actually, I was curious too as to where it was taken.
HAHAHAHA! Excellent! I didn’t think it through, did I?
This is me in 1987 or 1988 with my faithful buddy on a range at Bergen-Hohne. I drove Y-276 245 for 3 years with the 1./PzBtl 83 in Lüneburg …
… and this is me on the ferry “Stena Nordica” on the way to my holidays in Latvia in 2017. Hair is less and greyer and I have a few kilos more …
Nearly Israel. Itsukushima (Miajima) is an island very close to Hiroshima. One of the highlights of my trip to Japan. The funniest thing I saw there, was a native deer headbutting a vending machine trying to get an ice cream out of it… it would butt, go around to the dispensing opening to see if anything was there, then go back and butt again - it clearly knew what it was doing!
…don’t we all.
