I was there much later: from 30-10-2001 till 26-4-2002.
I also had a good time. Mostly hanging around with the British signal company, raf detachment and the posties…

This is me in 1987 or 1988 with my faithful buddy on a range at Bergen-Hohne. I drove Y-276 245 for 3 years with the 1./PzBtl 83 in Lüneburg …
… and this is me on the ferry “Stena Nordica” on the way to my holidays in Latvia in 2017. Hair is less and greyer and I have a few kilos more …

Nearly Israel. Itsukushima (Miajima) is an island very close to Hiroshima. One of the highlights of my trip to Japan. The funniest thing I saw there, was a native deer headbutting a vending machine trying to get an ice cream out of it… it would butt, go around to the dispensing opening to see if anything was there, then go back and butt again - it clearly knew what it was doing!
