Had a look at the specs: can print as fine as 0.01… what resolution do you commonly use and has it given you the results you’d expect? (Turbine blades not withstanding )
That 10micron is the vertical layer height and I have never used it. The smallest layer height I use is 40microns. The new printer does such a nice job that I’m using the standard 50 microns. Layer height is indirectly related to print time. Unless you absolutely need the smaller layers, it just makes the print take proportionally longer. I think the biggest impact on this printer’s quality is based on the higher X-Y resolution with its 12k LCD screen. Granted, the surface area of its larger LCD spreads out the pixel count per surface area, the surface area is not that much bigger than my previous Mars 3 with its 4k LCD to make the pixels per area equal. The Saturn’s X-Y resolution is significantly better. At 50microns I’m seeing no discernable layer lines.
Nice… I’m currently having some parts printed at a print house, but might consider a purchase if the economics are in favour…
