Hi, guys, long time no see. With the holidays coming, I’ll be posting my model works from the past few months on the forum one after another. First up is still the Chieftain tank series of the British Berlin Infantry Brigade—this time it’s the Chieftain MK.10, a 1/72 scale kit from TAKOM. The details are crisp, but it definitely took quite a bit of effort to put together. As for the painting, I once again referred to the Tankograd reference book and got help from a few friends on the forum.

All the color patches were restored based on historical photos, but when I finished the painting, I realized I had missed a white patch on the side skirts of the hull… ugh :face_with_crossed_out_eyes:… I really shouldn’t have rushed through the spraying to go have barbecue with my friends…

Now, I’m sure it’s a matter of personal opinion, but I simply do not understand why you do not install antennae on your models; to me, it would add the finishing touches, making them come alive. The scale is irrelevant - one can get hold of materials that are perfectly in scale for antennae. The evidence of communications just sets the models off. All that exquisite work, detail, paint finish, weathering just perfect, but all compromised with no antennae

I mean, obviously your call, but to me, sadly, a deficit(!)

Ahh, thank you for your sincere advice, BootsDMS. Actually, the tanks do have antennas—if you look closely, you’ll see that the antenna mounts have been drilled out. It’s just that I’m not used to installing them when taking photos, because they’ll be packed and shipped to customers afterwards, and attaching the antennas would make packaging more complicated.
