I seem to be on a Pz I run and will start this kit. I’ve built one before and I remember it being a great fitting kit.
Liking it.
That was fast !
I think this is one of Takom’s better kits.
Takom uses some small directions, which I find hard to see clearly, so I find the directions online, down load them and can increase the size if needed.
I have the same kit but in that dual-box with the Ausf.A and Ausf.B versions.
Currently building them, I’m at that PE ring stage.
Good Work buddy !
I will follow this one for sure.
Thanks much! I’m glad the PE rings are just the right size.
Sometimes I think some PE additions are just fluff from the manufacturer, and then to counter that view I see those rings which set the suspension off perfectly! Looking really good thus far!
Thank! I feel the same way about them.
As a experiment, I’m trying Dragon Pz I track, as Takom’s length and link are nice, but it has no sag. I’m not the best at tiny piece by piece track so we will see what it looks like in the morning.
Otherside- I tried something new to me-made strips of 30 instead of 10 and then I joined the 30s to make a long strip. It went real easy.
One thing that really helps is that Takom molds a tab on the sprocket shaft to keep it from spinning. The suspension is temporary help in with paste. Another help is to weigh down the kit from moving.
Now I have to decide if I’ll glue the suspension to the tracks.
The Dragon tracks are actually wrong as they have nuts at each end, when they should have a nut at one end and a flat plate (?) on the other.
Not a big deal to me.
