What’s the purple stuff?

I think that’s modeling putty, a way to secure sections without gluing them completely. It’s a way to ensure everything is lined up before detail painting.

Its A+B putty that came in a Border kit for use as zimmerit. Apparently there is a canvas boot that goes around the transmission as it goes thru the firewall.

Seats are next. The kits have simple, plain detail. These 3D are much better.

Wheels are done. Some clean up is needed.

Just did some checking with 35th scale drawings and the bench seat and storage locker are very undersized.

Storage box behind the codrivers seat is way too small and is not shaped right. I’m stealing the box from the Dragon 250/1.

Bench seat is really off in the Takom and Dragon kit per PT.

Here’s my simple take on the bench seat.
I widened it a bit and added a new bench top with the cushion.ade of A+B putty.
