Tamiya Mirror Paint

I’m willing to give it a shot.

You go girl – show us your findings, hopefully it’s better than dried-up Molotov pens or cutting out bits of tinfoil.

I expended no small time, and effort to obtain a Molotov pen; I think it lasted around 6 months if that, so this is a welcome development. Well done Tamiya!

It sounds promising, so I am curious indeed about the results!

Curious to see the results.

Interesting to see how it works with other paint brands, especially noting the instructions say the primer can’t be applied over acrylic, enamel and may damage lacquer and aerosol paint. Interesting to see if water based acrylic colours and varnishes (eg. Vallejo) can be applied over the mirror paint, like say the outer black frame of a wing mirror. You’d have to go over the mirror paint overspray. The warning about clear coats may be because their own paints produce adverse effects?
