If I’m not mistaken, than these are for smoke dischargers, or smoke mortars.
Another thought is that they hold Jerrycans, a group of to seven tied together

,and I’m over the line! The Italeri kit has been a struggle, but I’m calling it done. The pics aren’t the best - I need to find space for a photo booth but not at the moment. Still, at least the painting was fun!

I’m just wondering what colour the jack for the hetzer would be? would it be painted in the same colours as the tank destroyer or unpainted metal?
Tank Jacks are always painted except for the internal geared part. At the start of the war, most were black but later Gelb - although I have some ‘Field Grey’ ones.
