I’ve posted the link above. They’re pdf files with all the sheets and placement guides.
Should save a lot of time as the only other alternative is masking and painting all the panels.
In regards with the decals Round2 uses in their kits (Polar Lights, AMT etc…), they have a reputation for being very fragile and brittle. I found out that to my cost when I did their Romulan BoP with it’s huge eagle decal!
Best to coat them with a clear acrylic coat before you use them.

Thanks Stephen, that’s all very helpful

Will look it all over in work tomorrow

Happy to help.
I downloadable all of them and made back ups in case the site ever goes down (it is an old page). They did have a sheet for the Monogram Babylon 5 station a while ago but I can’t find it now. Although Monogram did a great job with the decals for that kit, they did miss a few areas that the downloadable sheet covered.

The decals on the 1/350 K’Tinga went down very nicely, but they definitely have some quality consistency issues with the smaller kits. Maybe they use several printers?

Yeah consistency does seem to be a problem.
I remember having some on their TOS Enterprise split in a few places, same with the TMP Vulcan shuttle. That was a nightmare to decal!

When i decides to print one i tell you …you can download the stl file for free on thingiverse

Well it arrived…
After looking in the box … It looks like a fairly easy build (that’s the kiss of death lol) … I think as it’s been mentioned, the painting and decals look the tricky part.
Will get the DML Tiger painted then get cracking on this one …

Looking forward to the build! The E is my second favourite Enterprise.
Are you planning on adding LED’s?
I am going to do this one OOB to move it out of the stash. I will not be lighting it; I have the AMT USS Enterprise-B and that one I will try to light but I am not ready to attempt that yet.
But it is going to have to get in line with these so I am not promising anything:
First, the two kits to the right of the Excelsior (62 Thunderbird/69 GTX convertible);
These 6 Mustangs and the Star Wars kits awaiting final wash and sealing coats;
Another Mustang and a couple of Reich birds;
And a 69 Hurst Olds.
But I don’t foresee any real issues.

No, just OOB… I will probably also do an ATAT for this build as well. Are all the AMT kits like this on the amount of parts and easy build ? And seeing it for real certainly brings home how big it is going to be … How big are the ones like the 1/350 scale, they must be massive ??

AMT kits are low part counts kits typically but fix can be their downfall.

Blimey Ryan…break it to me gently lol…

Some of the later ones do build very well. The earlier ones can be a bit challenging.
I remember the Klingon BoP going together really well with no trouble. The Reliant needed a lot of work, especially around the edge of the hull because they moulded in ridges. That needed a lot of work to sand out as well as some filling. Still got to finish that one someday.
I’ve got the 1/350 TMP Enterprise and it is massive! I’ve never tried to a dry fit to get a rough idea, but Polar Lights do state a total length of 34" on their website. It’s heavy as well as it’s moulded from very thick and robust styrene.
Definitely one that needs LED’s and some care with displaying. Mines an original issue with the crap display mount. The later boxing’s had a better redesigned stand with a metal tube.

I have the TOS kit with their lighting kit, which while not as far-ranging as some of the third-party LED sets is sufficient for my needs. The kit looks as if it won’t be much harder than the K’Tinga other than my anxiety about doing the Enterprise justice.
But yes, AMT kits are usually low-count and fit can be dicey the further back in time the kit goes–like most of the car kits. That’s why I’m building all my car kits at once except for my Hasegawa and Revell Volkswagens; I am churning them out quite fast compared to armor/aircraft. The AMT cars can be a weekend build but I found some of the older Star Trek 1/1000 kits needed some filler to avoid the ‘diecast toy’ effect.
The recent stuff like the Excelsior and Voyager seem to much better as I am about to see firsthand.

Well, I will go into this one with open eyes and fully on the fence until I get to any issues. It’s my first actual space craft so just looking forward to it. I got a great addition from G @G-man69 with a Star Trek encyclopedia and that inspired me to go down the ST route as it was really a ground breaking series when it was released…
And Stephen… That TMP offering sounds crazy big…I thought this one at 19" was big … But 34 … I seriously wouldn’t have anywhere to display it

From what I just was looking at online, fit will be something to keep an eye on with this one. And as I said from having built some of the other Trek kits you will need some filler especially where the engine pylons attach to the hull. But that tends to be an issue with many kits when it comes to attaching a wing to a body.

And I got for a ridiculously low price too! 25 quid about 12 years ago from the local market. There used to be a trader who sold a lot of second hand toys, kits etc. I didn’t ask where he got it from, or how he could sell it so low. I just snapped it up.
It now retails for around £100.
The refit is my favourite of all of them, so it’s a model I want to do justice. When I’m a bit better with electrics and have somewhere to display it, I’ll get cracking.
I’m still hopeful that one day they’ll do the Reliant at 1/350. They recently did the Grissom, so I can’t see why they not.

I think I will try to do this one.
Somewhere I have a the Aztec decal too and not sure what version of the kit I might build. Not going to light it as that would stale the build to never getting finished.

Very nice. Good series as well.

I was thinking about rewatching to see what version I might want to build.
