Oh I’m sure the helmet is correct, in your pic it just looks massive compared to his crew mates. I think it’s just a perspective thing though.
I used the same commander figure on my Canadian Firefly! What a coincidence
The weakest part of any of my builds…the figures. Blocking in basic colours before starting on shadows and highlights.
The guy wearing the US tankers helmet does look like he has a swelled head lol.
Colin what’s your colour mix for the uniforms? They look really nice.
Thanks! Its a mix of Vallejo colours, Middlestone and US Olive Drab.
Progressing on my mustangs. The one on the left in image 1 is the photo recon bird for this campaign.
@ColinEdm Figures are coming along nicely. Too bad the detail is so soft on them. That makes it hard to paint ptoperly, I think.
@Mead93 Those details are minute!! But they do look good!
As for me, I have spent some time again on the M113 again. Finished the interior, so now I can finally focus on the exterior!
I added an assortment of ge, ammoboxes and foodsupplies. Plus a few confiscated weapons. Most will be hard to see, once the “lid” goes on.
I did a quick mock-up of the roof;

Looks good, Ron!
Mead, really nice cockpits! Looking forward to see your small Air Force come together.
Join the club. I like to add figures, but my skill with them is not on par with the rest of my repertoire…
You sure that guy doesn’t have 'Space Mumps"?
(Not sure if you got ‘Red Dwarf’ over there…)
Was introduced to red dwarf by a new zelander. Became one of my favourite shows!
yep, used to get Red Dwarf here, delightfully twisted!
Looks awesome Ron!
@petbat There all dead Dave…
“They’re all dead Dave.”
“Not Chen?”
“Wait. Are you trying to tell me everybody’s dead?”
Given your age, I’d have thought this was one you would have appreciated:
“I am Holly, the ship’s computer, with an IQ of 6000; the same IQ as 6000 PE teachers.”
No idea what you guys are talking about…
As for me, I think I have pretty much completed construction:
Nice Ron.
Are you sure you do not want to replace all those tie downs with Aber etch ones?
I had to for a M981 FIST, as the donor kit had them in tte wrong places… never again…
I was once again reminded why I tend to avoid PE.
Now on to fire up the compressor and airbrush…
Nicely done Ron and I like all the extra details you’ve added.
