Thanks for the comments and the profiles, guys
That’s not something that has occurred to me but makes sense.
Might consider trying this scheme myself.
Happy to help. If you want any more I good send over the others.
That Schneider CA is a very interesting tank. I have one around someplace and look forward to finally getting to it. I’ll be watching to see how you progress with it.

Plastic has been cut and glued
Those track links are indeed very fiddiling. Thank god it is only 64 links in total and not jagdtiger length tracks
More to follow soon.
A great start. Getting these fiddly bits out of the way first is always a good idea.
If you think these are bad, check out Takom’s Mk.IV. 5 parts per link! Still not plucked up the courage to do that.
Started to get the basic paint on Jackal so I can start detailing. RN destroyers were black before mid 1916, the funnel bands indicate the flotilla that the boat belonged to.
Small details starting, davits, ventilators and WT hatches
Starting to get a bit more life in it now. Looks great Andrew.
Beautiful - what is the scale again?
1/72, looking at a towed aircraft launching lighter and an Airfix 2F1 Camel for a bit of fun. Already have the Camel
That would be a unique scene!
Meantime, searchlight towers
Aft tower first print. Slats in platform are too tight, can’t clean between them
Fore tower is taller
Re-designed platforms with slats reduced from 65 to 50. Definition now ok
Drill jig to enable assembly. Made a jig to ensure it goes on square as well
Aft tower basic assembly done, last two legs and all the forward ones need to be tubes, and I have run out.
A small update, starting to add small details but so many of them, 17 more ventilators of three different types, bitts (6), fairleads(6), torpedoes painted and fitted, bridge dodger and grating fitted, searchlight supports fitted, foremast fitted but still need to add cross trees.
I am very impressed with your build on this ship. The 3D printing is a whole new ball game and you are showing us just what can be done with it.

Thanks you for those words. I think I should confess to a mistake in the last pics. After fitting the canvas (printed) bridge Dodger I had a printed binnacle to go inside but there didn’t seem much room round it. Back to the plans, I had missed 7mm out of the width of the bridge. Back to the CAD, reprinted new bridge front, now the binnacle fits
First bridge front at the bottom, new one above, added guard rails at the rear of the wings
First bridge rail print
Revised print 7mm wider, overhangs the Captains sea cabin at the front, the original was flush
New bridge front fitted, I mixed a little white into the black paint to represent dyed faded canvas. Doesn’t show up too well in these photos.
All the major bits that define the shape now fitted though there is plenty of detail to go yet. Now got to fit the working bits. HMS Jackal 1/72
It just gets better and better Andrew. It is looking fantastic.
Nice one… only now you can see it’s size!!! Compare this with the WW2 PT boats, which basically had the same function?? I take it a lot needs to be done on the bridge? Also do not forget to repaint the glue smear on the deck near the ladder to the bridge!
Not really comparable with a PT boat, this is a destroyer, designed to escort the fleet and protect it from torpedo boats. Designed to maintain speed in weather that a PT boat just couldn’t operate. Spotted that spot of glue only when I looked at the photos, Needs some work or model a seaman there with a mop and bucket! The bridge is complete apart from the semaphores and some small steps at the front.
