What is the consistent AI finger fail all about?
Whenever I see it I’m reminded of this Terry Gilliam masterpiece from The Brand New Monty Python Papperbok:

Pinkie looks rather short, barely passing the first joint on the next finger.
Does her ring finger have a one inch finger nail?
Am I seeing things or are her knuckles offset, the index finger looks about right
but the others (the naughty finger and the other two) look as if they have slid forward by
almost an inch.
Looks like the AI studied photos of Daddy Longlegs
Those fingers won’t be allowed near my model parts or any other parts for that matter …

Anybody watching the remake of “Orphan Black” on TV? Sci-Fi mystery. The original series (several years ago) was about cloning people; the remake is about a billionaire acquiring the tech to 3D print people, including internals, etc.

You should see the worst “Frankenstein” ones; two heads, conjoined bodies, arms morphing into legs (and vice-versa); too many, or not enough, limbs! 
Better but still not good. Hands/Fingers are difficult.
The little finger still looks short and they taper too much.

Not seen that but it does remind me of that episode of Red Dwarf from a few years ago, when the crew come across a derelict ship with a 3D printer designed to print a replacement crew in an emergency. The ship prints the replacement captain, but he gets jammed mid print on his head and it smears his face across his forehead.

They’re already doing music videos, ‘what-if’ movie trailer, and such with AI now. They are all deep in the ‘uncanny valley’ as the images slowly morph while the AI goes through its database to assemble them.
A lot has to do with the data they feed the AI. It needs more hand photos.
Just to let you know how far I have slid, I was more focused on what the _ell she was working on.
