I’ve had the good fortune to visit the NIM three times -
In March 2013, coinciding with taking part in 173rd ABN reunion and memorial ceremonies;
In September 2016, when my oldest son graduated Infantry OSUT;
And in March 2024, when my youngest son finished OSUT and graduated from Airborne School.
My great uncle was killed in Korea serving with M Co, 3-35 IN, 25th ID. For a long time, me and all four of my boys wore a memorial bracelet for him. My youngest added his bracelet to the Memorial.

My wife’s grandfather was an engineer on the M29 Davy Crockett project, of which there is a display in the museum.

Just looked up that display actually after reading your post. The Davy Crockett (and the idea behind nukes of that sort) always fascinated me- it is one cool looking display they have of it!
