The Third Battle of Kharkov - 1943

Hello,

this battle is a subject that greatly impressed me, and now I’m trying to create a scene about it. Although I don’t yet have a defined layout, I’m making progress on some pieces that will be fundamental. I’ve already been working on assembling and painting figures and also a vehicle. I’ll post some of what I’ve already been working on and try to get motivated to move forward with the idea.

The figures of the first group.

The Panzer IV Ausf G.

Thanks

That is quite the cast of characters you have completed there. The way they are posed on and around the tank is mighty fine work- very natural looking. The way you have painted the various shades of field grey, green and other colors is interesting as you can appreciate they are all standard issue pieces of uniform and kit but each is slightly different from the other- just shows the thought that you have put into each one.

Good Morning, Karl!

I tried to personalize each of the members a little. I just finished editing the photos of the second group also. With only the commander and the driver figures missing (the last won’t appear in the photos).

The whole set will look something like this. I forgot to say there will be a NSU kettenkraftrad also.

Thanks a lot for your comment.

More great characters there Gelson- with beautifully picked out faces too. The variety of expressions across all of the figures is pretty cool- good to see how you plan to lay it all out too.

Great compilation of figures with excellent painting. I always love dioramas with many figures. Looking forward to seeing the project progress.

I love the figure with the rip in his pants. Nice detail, and great job on the painting!

Hi, fellows!

Thank you for the good words but all credit for the figures should go to their sculptor. I only added some paint to them, despite not being a skillful figure painter. Their poses were very well thought out, and their fit on the vehicle is perfect. The scene is a consequence of this good work. Also the guys on the Kettenkraftrad fit nicely.

Now I have to work on the Panzer IV. It’s also almost finished. I just must organize the pictures to show you.

I think the company is “Evolution Miniatures” not Evolution Models which is a different company.

Your’re right, Jack! Evolution Miniatures is the correct company name. My mistake. I’m sorry.

Hi,

after the vehicle painting is well underway, testing the positioning of the figures. The photos show numerous touch-ups that need to be done. More work ahead.
