Thin clear plastic for windows

Quick question regarding clear plastic sheets for windows. I had a look on amazon for something along those lines and found some that were .5mm but £10… what have others used for very clear windows. Its for the Challenger CTT from SMM. The kit looks nice, but there is nothing included for the windows in the doors/windscreen/rear window so need to find something that can be used for that.

Cheers

John

Lol … thanks H.P … didnt even think about that … cheap is sometimes easiest and best …

With some luck you could actually get clear styrene from packaging.

I do like HP’s option, sometimes it can be difficult to find truly clear and unblemished sections for our use. Evergreen has a few different clear sheets, thinner then .5mm.

I will go healthy and buy a tub of grapes on the way home tonight

I didn’t know this Evergreen product. I usually used acetate sheet available in
stationery store.
Frenchy option is cheap of course but packaging plastics are often not enough clear and have some surfaces irregularities.

Almost all of them are too “foggy” but there are a few that can be used,
it is all about getting lucky.
@Johnnych01 On the other hand, those Evergreen sheets contain a lot of clear sheet for the money they cost.

The next time at Costco, buy a container of their baked goods - they come in clear plastic containers with plenty of usable flat sections. It may not be gluable styrene, but can be glued with clear canopy/windshield acrylic glue, or good old CA.

Terminator is right. An office supply store probably will have it.
I retired from printing, 40 years of it, I took with me a large sheet of what we called mylar and a couple of aluminum printing plates, different gauges. I have a lifetimes worth of window stock, schurzen and whatever else is needed.
