Trumpeter 1/350 Heavy Cruiser HMS York (1941)

Thank you Russ,

I will admit I am quite pleased with her.

I will post the start pics at some point over the Easter weekend, always dependent on Mrs Duster’s requirements of course.

Cheers, Si :beers: :beers:

Hi Si,

congratulations to commissioning you HMS York! Splendide build, and awesome rigging! I am sorry that I din’t always follow along the way, but for your latest posts I was back again, really inspiring and helped to get my own motivation back!
I’m really looking forward to your next - another HMS cruiser, that sounds great right there!

Great job!

Cheers

Thank you Jan,

It was an interesting build, room for a few improvements. The rigging was interesting, lucky to find some decent photos and drawings. Glad to have helped your motivation, I do like the sense of community on this site, it does help. I do understand, I had quite break midway through on this one.

Enjoying your work on the Gneisenau,

Will reveal the next one in two or three days.

Cheers

Oh yeah, THOSE walruses. For a second I thought you were stocking it with wildlife.

THAT would be something to see,
a walrus being launched by catapult back into the ocean …

Hi Danie,

Don’t think the aquatic mammals fly that well, even launched off a catapult, although folding fins cime as standard.

Well done Si. The whole build is awesome, especially that rigging. Glad your recovering.
John.

Thank you John,

Appreciate you looking in and your kind comments,Always had a soft spot for the York, she is a bit of forgotten ship. nearly back to full strength, just a little low on energy.
