Is officially open…
Lots of pics ahead…
Souvenir Shop has a decent (but overpriced) compliment of Tamiya kits, along with books, toys and a snack shop. The whole thing is down for n a single building, but I am told that as more visitors come in, they will expand displays and have more buildings built and more vehicles on display.
I am very happy that this museum is up and running. I could volunteer for tours if I wasn’t working full time already.
Thanks for posting these - some great images, they’re interesting, helpful and useful for ideas for future projects - I’m seeing a WC build of some sort in my future!
Cheers
Nick
Looks like a great place to visit.
It is. Oh! I forgot to take pictures of it, but they do have a complete US Army Pershing II Missile launcher system, which including the erector launcher, transport trailer and MAN transporter truck.
Nice pics. Thanks! They have the WWII wrecker I’ve been looking for, as well as a Cent! Got two SF buddies in the area. Too soon for yet another road trip?
LMK if you’re in town, I’ll be happy to meet you and show you my hobby shops. All the pics were taken in a couple of hours, I bat there is tons more to see with a little more time.
If I come out that way I’ll certainly let you know. Next research trip is to Detroit of all places…
Thanks for the heads up and sharing your pictures.
If anyone is interested in visiting the museum in the near future, go to https://www.tucsonmilitaryvehicle.org and check it out.
Thanks for the pics Reynier!
Detroit? Are you researching war zones?..
Wow, nice pics, gotta make a visit
When? Not too far from me. Going to the Ford museum?
Detroit Arsenal. Not sure of date yet. But the Ford Museum sounds interesting.
Keep me in the loop, please.
I shall.
