When I report it will take one day to finish painting, it will take one to two weeks to finish painting. Maybe. Painting all the road wheels took 4 days. The front faces turned out pretty good. After that, my painting endurance slowly faded. The rear faces are kinda blah.
All painting is now done accept the top of the hull and turret machine gun. I hope to finish in a day… That was a joke. I will probably finish up with effects painting sometime this weekend. That is fine. As I mentioned previously, painting the tires with black oil paint was a dum dum move. Black oil paint is notorious for taking a long time to dry. Delays currently work in my favor.

@bwilt Welcome aboard! Three at once is very ambitious. What kind of trucks are those?
Well, they are just 1/72, completely built but left unpainted for about a year…
It’s this kit:

Very neat. Completely new to me.
Wiki article if anyone else is interested: Type 81 Surface-to-Air Missile
Thats the replacement, plus the stopper for the arms on the hull, I think I will redo the exhaust grill too, replace some hinches, make a little cast structure to the hull repaint it…

First step for the slates.
With a little help of a friend, I printed some new parts (gray), second try… I will replace this side, too

@bwilt Congratulations on finishing your Type 81 Surface-to-Air Missile system trio! Those are genuinely neat. Your painting to bring out the many details of the models is impressive. Thank you for joining this campaign and providing so many good pictures of the building and painting process. Well done!
@Rabbits You are doing some very impressive 3D modeling to improve the detail of your project. I look forward to seeing more of your work and the final result.
@SGTJKJ I know very little about Warhammer but now I want one, too, or something like it.
Thanks very much! These kits are really nice, great details eventhough it’s a small scale.
Thanks for the campagn, and good luck to all who are still bussy!
You can get super nice kits now in plastic. Mine is an (very) old resin kit. I am sure the new plastic ones are better. ![]()
