Unfinished Business 2026

Group Build Title: Unfinished Business 2026

Group Build Leader(s): @Damraska

Group Build Description: This group build is intended to motivate modellers to complete any unfinished model languishing on the shelf of shame, dry dock of doom, garage of grief, space port of self reproach, and so on. Aircraft are welcome here but you may register for Hanger Queen XVI instead.

Any model that was started and subsequently abandoned prior to completion qualifies for this campaign. A 6 month period of inactivity is certainly sufficient to qualify. The model should require at least a few hours of work to finish. Any model that participated in a previous version of Unfinished Business, without finishing, also qualifies.

Please post a starting picture, pictures taken during the completion process, and pictures of the finished model.

If you do not complete your model by the end of this campaign, you are welcome to continue the project in Unfinished Business 2027.

Event Details: (Remember to click “Going” if you want to join the build!)

Get off your butt and finish a stalled project you lazy bum.

Completion Award: There will be one. I should probably make it.

A Note about Awards: The following text is a reminder that in order for people participating and finishing their projects to receive a badge on their forum profile, they will need to provide their account username to the group build leader by the completion date of the build. The leader will then provide this list to the site admin who will bulk award the badges to those users who have finished the group build. If you don’t provide your username or finish the project on the timetable the leader has setup you will not be able to receive an award.

Dragon Panther G Steel Wheel

When last our brave adventurer worked on this project, it looked a whole lot like that there picture above.

Thats a lot better than my panther! I built the old tamiya one and it has WAY to many coats of paint on it. It went from summer scheme, to burned out/abandoned summer scheme, to the latest (which was 2 years ago) winter scheme. with primers in-between the schemes.

I have so many things to finish…. haven’t made a choice yet.

That sounds like a Panzer III I need finish (again). Hated the paint job. Hated the decals. Hit it with a bunch of effects painting. Hated that. Put more of the base color over the top. Used it to practice chipping. Hated that. I plan to work on it this weekend if time permits.

I’m in. I’ve got a KV-5 waiting for detail painting, indy tracks, and weathering that’s been on the shelf of shame for a year.

Yay! Welcome aboard! I almost bought one of those a while back. I am really curious to see what you do with it.

Not sure which stalled build I’ll do yet - there’s so many to choose from! Could be the M36B1, M3A1 CDL, or one of several trucks…

I’ve got a ton of stalled builds to pick from, I think I’ll finish the paint job on my Takom super blitz Panther G and hopefully finish my trumpeter IS-3 :folded_hands:
