Impressive John to say the least, I’ve only just now discovered this. Mad skills and I appreciate all the details you’ve added, how they were sourced, sorted and whatnot. Your mate should really feel rewarded by following along w the link.
How are you making out w acquiring the British Infantry gear/kit?
Thanks for checking it out Dave and glad you like it. Yes he is keeping tabs on it and is enjoying watching it all come together.
I decided (after chatting with Andy about it all) that I would ease off on the kit stowage and just go with extra resin Jerrycans on the rear (2 on each side) and x1 large tarp I will knock up once the builds complete. I would have liked a 1/16th helmet and maybe some webbing but I didnt want to throw his money at it. I think the bits I add along with the kit boxes and cans should suffice.
Ok great. I actually have the old Verlinden 611 British Infantry 120mm, and I won’t be needing the figure’s kit (helmet, Enfield rifle, pack, ammo pouches etc). I’m more than willing to give this to you no worries only shipping, but being across the pond that is prbly just not worth it.
Thanks and cheers to both Dave & Keith, yeah, the issue with both will be the P & P … shame, but its just ramps the cost up sadly … I will just make do with what’s at hand and the tarps I will knock up.
Process for these will be a coat or 2 of Tamiya dark iron, then MIG track wash …then some highlighting with graphite and Vallejo oily steel on raised areas
