Wathlingen is a small village near Celle with a great Exhibition centre.

Wow! Celle - that takes me back!
In 1968 I visited the massive barracks used by 94 Locating Regiment as part of a contingent of Army Cadets. If nothing else, the size of the barracks blew me away; I believe it is now the town hall:
Mind you, as a 14 year-old, most things blew me away, including as part of the visit, watching a propellor-driven drone launch, Belsen KZ, and a day out with an armored battle group clinging on to a Chieftain for dear life. Sadly, I’ve never been back to Celle since.

Yes Brian I was in Celle in ‘87 for Reforger, my last one and what a beautiful town!

Celle trenchard bks, was there twice with different units, 3 years in total, the only time I was Armoured In my 24 years.
Did visit a few model shows and shops in the surrounding areas, when I could, did like a good shop in Braunschweig,

, especially your military time.
I have spend a time of my childhood between Celle and Bergen, so maybe we have crossed our paths at that time .
