My other 3D printed experience is with the Ryefield Model’s 3D printed Pz III/IV tracks. They are nice but fiddly due the pins not snapping in place. They require a light touch of white glue or CA on the exterior pin head to hold in place. No clean up to speak of but took me several hours to assemble.
Just lightly dab flat white paint with a small section of sponge; some use natural sponge or just cut a piece of synthetic sponge from a kitchen scrub pad (don’t anger your wife in the process, I will not be held responsible).
This space in my model room used to hold a pile of over 100 new model kits. Yesterday I finally took a break from building, got off my ass, and carried all the kits down to aisle 2 of the Holy Stash. It took me twelve trips, so that was 48 sets of stairs. Today my back is screaming in pain, but I made progress. Next is breaking down the pile of shipping boxes. I have no idea why I let it get this bad. I need my model room back!
Thanks for sharing this Mike - looks like fun and I am somewhat envious of doing a project where you can use your imagination to supplement creativity.
Cheers- Richard
I had 5 foot high stacks of kits with just a little path leading to my workbench and computer desk! Too much like that show “Hoarders”! I had to take action to regain my sanity.
Matt, Kali Kat and I can be on the way to help a friend move kits & break boxes. Any coffee black works for me but Kali likes the half & half in her’s.
Some Carro Veloce interior.
Plus some work on a photographer figure(AK Interactive set).I have a Hairy Heads set from Armor35 underway so will pick one for this figure.
My progress last 24 hours,
plates and numbers change for locomotive for father,
clean up figure for primer,
first coat challenger 1and improve warrior(2),
black base of Wessex hu5.
