Yeah, the engine is very Bronco-like (delicate) and builds nicely OOB.
I found some Italian C.V. 33/35 manuals online(Modellismo Più website) and the detailed cross-sections and pictures of the engine gave me enough understanding of what goes where and serves which purpose to superdetail it.
I’ve added a bit more engine detail (I have somehow missed) today, so Carro Veloce madness continues

At one point I was so frustrated with this that I had a small can of the stinky gray primer overnighted from Amazon so I could start all over again. Or maybe snatch all the cab parts out of the other kit I have.
I started this project a few days ago, trying to build a Kenworth 963, a big, 6x6 truck. Unhappily there is not a large scale kit available of this, so I’m trying to scratch/kitbash my way forward with a 1/24 version. I’ll open a thread in Automodeler to go with this -
