Thanks for that could you possible throw up a couple of close-up pictures please.
There’s almost nothing on it.
I think it’s more of the angle of the picture and the lighting than anything else.
Here’s the same picture blown up:
Thank you for that I have a model with a fifth wheel in my stash and am curious how other people tackle there’s.
Do you have the process for this?
Iridescent acrylic sheet cut to fit the openings. I struggled unsuccessfully to get small strips of iridescent Mylar to stick to anything and still present even a near optically smooth surface. What is available is the same Mylar bonded to the acrylic but much better than I could ever manage.
Cut strips on a bandsaw & finished to size in my mini mill
The real thing
@ Sean (Seanmcandrews). Man, those periscopes look cool!

Thanks Mike ! I’m quite happy I finally found something that works.
Finished the modified early style air pre-cleaners into later style ones. Added PE fiddle bits, cap w/retaining chain and so on.
Those flanges……
Finished up a commission model for a local collector. Tamiya’s 1/48 A-10A, turned out pretty well. Though it would never have used the triple launcher for the Mavericks, it was what was specified.

People’s jaws will drop once they look inside!
I started on my “Shermania 2024” build. See that campaign thread for progress on that.
Continuing the European aircraft weapons build.
Both Sea Shadow and Taurus bodies and wings glued together. Fins will be added later.
Cheers!

WOW that’s looking pretty awesome. What is it T-80 ? I’m working on a T-72M-1. Trying to get it finished.
That’s very cool. I would love to know more about that whole process.
