That is really awesome. Lots of different colors gets your eyes moving all around.
The warmth of the darker paint of the front hull is perfect to my eyes.
Painted the ‘Jake’ three-cubicle office. I don’t usually spray LifeColor, and like most of my paints, this was a really old bottle. But the color matched what I had in mind, so…
This time, I strained the paint before loading it into the airbrush and thinned it with distilled water (approx. 50/50 or so). The airbrush performed well while making several light passes and using a hair dryer in between. I believe the result came out okay. ……

Looks good
and the Pac-Men in the tail look like they are really cosy …
1/72 Netherlands GTK Boxer command post from Revell, all the fine stuff, mirrors etc still to add and the RWS and another 6 wheels to make.
Just like the real thing the back module is separate.
Nice one, the coverage looks very even👍
Watto.
Started laying-out decking (stirring sticks) to cover a plain block base. This is currently stuck-together with strips of masking tape on the back.
Also, added a couple of access ladders to the catapult framework (upper level) and added a rear platform.
Thank’s for having a look!

I like that color combo - the blue and white stripes, yellow ladders and dark grey all look like the belong together!
Cheers

I spent some time painting pilots and ground crew to go with a model sci-fi vehicle I’m working on:
These are Hasegawa 1/20 scale Ma. K. figures - for the price, they are great. I compared them against some other 1/20 figures I have and they look a bit big, maybe closer to 1/18 scale, but for my purposes they are just fine -
Cheers

Caulking. Ship decks.
Add a strip of black paper between the planks.
USS Alabama:
@ Nick (Stickframe). Thank’s! The blue is original bottle cap color, the white bands are Styrene strips hiding joints and the yellow ladders are left-over scraps from a previous build. Unfortunately, the assembly will get primed and then covered, most likely in Tamiya Ts-99 IJN Grey (Maizuru Arsenal) Spray in order to vaguely replicate a ship.
@ Robin (Uncle-Heavy). Black paper is not happening. However, I do have sort of a plan to replicate the caulk. … Railings… hmmm…

The Alabama is less than an hour from my home town. The submarine U.S.S. Drum is in the park alongside her.
Lucky you!
The nearest modern (1950’s) large warship for me is a destroyer in Gothenburg, a 5 hour drive at legal speeds, the next is HMS Belfast in London
Detail painting and attached subassemblies today, except for the antenna. It will be attached later.
Unlike the build process, the Takom Pz III ausf N is a joy to work with during painting. The kit’s side skirt system is outstanding and well engineered.
Gloss coat and weathering soon…
Borg Cube Crushes IJN Naval Base…
I taped-together a random layout of stirring sticks, flipped them over and applied PVA Glue in between the sticks and base block (1” x 4” x 6”). Then, I squished the wood sandwich together and let it cure overnight.
I had some concerns that the PVA Glue might leach through and make a mess similar to last night… “Cleanup, isle seven!”
Worry no more!
Thank’s for having a laugh!
