More work on the SU-76M. Hopefully, I will get the details painted for the interior of the right wall this week. So much ammunition to paint…

Had 2 days off and got some bench time.

The fuselage is 90% done. Have to attach the VHF antennas, drain masts and the nav light. Next up are the engines and gear. I’m not really looking forward to dealing with the seam inside the engine inlets and have been putting off building them till now. Since the A320 wasn’t a glider, I’ll have to man up and go for it :crazy_face:

The wings gave me fits trying to get them attached just like the first one that I tried to to build but gave up. This time I ended up using super Glue to get it done. I have some touch up work to do. But I am getting it built this time instead of trashing another kit.

I remember trying to build Revell’s 1/32 F4U-1 Corsair as a young one and having fits with the wing fit. That one got binned.

1/48 scale RAF 2 squadron AG633 Mustang almost done. A little light wash and weathering completed today before clear coat and matt final. Pitot tube, antenna, and main gear yet to come.

Yeah this was my second attempt at this kit. And to top it off, when I was building it. The engine section is supposed to include a poly cap …BUT oddly enough it was missing…both times. :rage:. I’m going to end up gluing the propeller in place. I’m having to touch up the gaps that resulted in the build.

Hey there, just nosy here but where are you where it’s “wet and messy”?

If that’s the HobbyLink kit Al, I know what you mean. I spent a good few hours building the M108; 8/10’s of it on the truck frame, cab etc and the rest on the crane platform, turntable, operator’s station and boom.

Put some Olive Green on the insides of the fighting compartment panels and the ammo racks of the SU-76M. Next is some Khaki for the seats and the padding on the rear panel. Also need to paint the SMG drums in the racks and the radio.

Everything quiet on my workbench these days.
Holiday greetings to all here from the Danish Railway Museum in Odense. Behind me is one of the famous NOHAB My-Class diesel engines, here in the original DSB Bordeaux Red. Though taken out of service nearly 30 years ago, this old girl still operates on special occations. The museum has 2 of them still in operation. In younger years, when I had a model railway, I also had one of these massive DSB locomotives in the same colour …

… and I also found this old buddy standing on a flatbed car. Looks really beaten up by now … :unamused:

I’m building that too, every now and then when I hate myself, I pull it out and work on it for a bit, then I hate the model and back it goes :joy:

I can’t believe you have a Saga tour shirt!

I really wonder what the point is chaining down a tank. Will those chains would really hold down a Leopard if it wants to move?

Sure it will . . .
