Oddly, I wrote a grad paper on the significance of GEN Sir Percy Hobart’s “Funnies” to the Allied effort during and post D-Day. Sixteen years later I commanded the Breach Team for my BDE during ODS. The irony was not lost on me.

Take a soft lead pencil and color in where you want the paint worn off. It gives a great burnished steel effect.
I have a couple of colours however I haven’t tried them yet.
Nearly finished with my “stock” refurbish of the Mattel Eagle One. My custom 2.75" Professor Bergman pictured next to it for scale. Most of this version is vintage except for the side doors, red reactors and large engine bells that I 3D printed.
