What did you do in your modeling workshop today?

Finished the Zvedza 1/72 mortar team. They all came with jackboots, but I wanted to make them later war, so I switched out the legs with Caeser Miniatures “assembly Series” legs. Sanbdags (meh) are Milliput with a mesh fabric pushed in for texture. Balsa beams and posts. One thing that I didn’t like was that you only had the option of putting them in full marching kit. I had to do a bit of filling and recreating Y straps.

Comments and critiques welcome.

After a break, I have been doing some work on the 234/4.

I put most of the interior parts on the upper hull.

There’s a couple parts I missed but can have mounted up with a little bench time.

I sprayed a flat coat, and gave it a black and brown wash.

Once I close up the hull, it will be adding the suspension pieces.

Soon .

Did some painting and detailing on my Zil 131 repair truck. I need to do a bit of wash to the bench seat to give it a more used look.

Awesome work on the interior! Great level of details

Thank you, I want to add another wash or two of black for that oily grime look and maybe some light rusty orange thinned with a lot of water to add some high lights.

It does look very clean for a workshop, but perhaps this is the lighting… or a worker with cleaning OCD!

Latest batch of 3D prints, courtesy of our own James Lee. Tie down equipment for the M548 bladders and some towards my next but one project, an entry for the Let’s Get Hitched campaign.

To me—a Russian speaker—the Russian inscriptions read naturally; they aren’t “awkward”.

Thank you, I was afraid google would have messed up the translation of what I was trying to say and it wouldn’t make sense to any one who speaks Russian. Glad it came out right and is understandable and not simlish.

So how many builds do you have going currently?

The body is in the garage letting the gloss coat dry so no pic atm, but the interior of my Tamiya Karmann-Ghia is together and ready to be fitted (got to touch up a couple of spots). The steering wheel is canted to the left as I am going to pose the front wheels at an angle.
