Are you more of a 1:1 person?

1/16 or planes in 1/32 is okay

I’m enjoying the brad and what looks to be two HUMWVs in the boxes there what’s the end game for them. I only build modern kits so it’s cool to see them.

The crew chiefs used to tell us, “If you see hydraulic fluid leaking, don’t worry. If you see it stop leaking, let me know immediately.”

That’s a great paint job for such a small scale. It looks more like 1/144.

In case no one reads the Buy, Sell, Trade forum, I’m looking for ONE 1/700 scale Sherman, and various aircraft in 1/1200 - a B-17, a C-47, a B-24, and a TBD Devastator.

The Brad will be an IFOR-version, one hummer OIF-era and the other on exercise in Europe with a motorbike strapped to the rear.

Prepared front & rear upper hull, added light texture and replaced flat PE lift ring with wire.

The paint-job is really great, I think, I could’nt do it this way. I could’nt bring the concentration that it needs, just to put this small parts from the sprue. Don’t missounderstoud, you need concentration for bigger scales too but to me there is a difference

I seems not to make a big step, but there are many small parts buildet in. Surprising how fast 4 days are over…

Next week is a long weekend again, until monday.
Have a nice week :v:

Sunday-paintday is over.
1x NATO green, 1x field grey, 1x olivdrab and 1x khaki+flat brown+deep green. The yellow would not work and has to be done by hand later.

Literally sat and watched paint dry. How friggin sad is that? Clear flat coat. All the stowage and everything else is done for this car and I refuse to start the new kit and get sanding dust all over this beauty. Sat and ate an unhealthy amount of Starburst Pinks while I watched the paint dry. It did lessen the pain a bit.

Matt, that’s a fabulous looking paint job! It really pops and it looks interesting! Very special combination and well done!

Part 2 for today, everything clicked perfectly with the RFM kit and the upper hull & fenders literally snapped into place.

@SSGToms, well Matt, Sunday is paint day here too - only primer tho:

So the quad and some bits were painted on the trustworthy Tamiya rack. As for the big brute truck - well, a big leap of faith by me! I strung some wire through the front tow eyes, and hung it from a stick, then outside for the primer. This way, no chance of me breaking stuff off, or leaving big fingerprints etc - yes, there was plenty of hope involved too, specifically that I did a good job of gluing those rings on!!  this is getting to be a pretty heavy model!

I took it easy, spraying several light dustings to get to a pretty uniform finish. I haven’t noticed any drips or runs yet, or any weird surfaces where paint/clue/crap/styrene left a mess! I’ll let this sit for the day and get after paint tomorrow.

Cheers, and have a good week
Nick

It may have lessened the pain by ending the cells that might have thought about it. Europe bans candies like Starburst due to studies linking many of the additives to brain damage. So if you’re having a really bad day, I might suggest Skittles for a more direct approach.

I got sweaty palms thinking of your model hanging from a stick… Stick!!!:sweat_smile::raised_hand:
On the other hand… that truck would scare the crap outa’ any hornets hanging around my car port! :honeybee:

@Armor_Buff Thanks for the kind words Wade. It took a while and some finagling but I think it’s a mighty sharp scheme myself.

@brekinapez Get out of town! Are you serious? Here I was worried about lacquer fumes and at the same time I’m eating allegedly toxic candies? I can’t win!

Getting some paint on the MiniArt T-55 at last. I’m using tamiya rattle can TS-28 Olive Drab 2, decanted and thinned a little with Mr Colour Leveling Thinner, for use in my airbrush.

I must have had a mad moment, as I completely forgot to put on the tow cables! So here they are now, securely in place. Will need to quickly prime and paint those also.

Wheels are awaiting some masks due any day now.

The client for this commission build, requires all over olive green finish with black tracks and tyres and no decals or any weathering at all, so this one will be done very soon!
