Completely different, changing numbers on locomotives for my dad, n gauge, my shakes are less then his. One still to do.
The Clive of india,
What does a plywood tree look like?
I love recovery vehicles of all kinds.
FYI - If you were to rebuild this one small hinged part using strap Evergreen Plastic strip and then do not glue the vertical crane support post at its’ base pin you could make this little jib crane actually swing. (Making it much less vulnerable to accidental breakage.) Just a suggestion:
Maybe when I get around to building my Bergepanzer IV. I am counting myself lucky I am finishing this one so I’m not going to risk anything now but the idea did cross my mind initially.
Resin chain hoist and come-along by Tiger Models used on my Bergepanther:
You may get lucky and still find some of these on the market.
I thought your Berge was still under construction, sorry to intrude.
Not an intrusion; a suggestion.
I also had damaged the vertical support during the initial assembly so I probably would not have been able to make it swing anyway. The part that goes into the support arm broke away so the whole thing is just sitting on top by virtue of CA only.
Today is my first day of summer so I put away my classroom (i.e., folding card table and school laptop) and now I have so much more room in my cave until July 23.
wish i had room to do that!!
Here is a quick little weekend project after reading yet another Robert’s Ridge book.
My hobby interest was inspired by lines like this. “Suddenly the Chinook lurched and Petty Officer 1st Class Neil C. Roberts, a 12-year veteran, lost footing and started sliding down the metal ramp made slippery by spilled hydraulic fluid. Madden, secured to the helicopter by a flexible harness, managed to grab the SEAL by a boot, but when the Chinook violently shuddered, the crew chief lost his grip. Roberts, carrying an M249 machine gun and 80-pound pack and weighing a total of about 300 pounds, fell 10 feet before landing on his back in the snow.”
No small kits of MACO 30 and Razor 03 MH-47E so I made do with GHQ 1/285 scale offering (a CH-47D), Added little bits and bobs to try for the right look. Much to learn still.
I used to have a bunch of GHQ minis that I converted into use for a science fiction game.
I miss playing with lead.
Lots of hull sanding today, and…
“What are these strange things have appeared on the hull?”…
“When I took a break from sanding, the Styrene scraps just jumped onto the model and attached themselves!”
“Have a look at some landing gear hose-ery while you wait.”
—mike …
Sure does! Check eBay…I saw a few when I was looking for 1/35 barbed wire.
Mike
To me 1/35 is to small…
That must be a different branch of modelling…sorry
Yep.
It’s a pain to work with in scale as is the 1:1. Good luck not getting bloody working with it.
