What did you do in your modeling workshop today?

My nothing is being run thru the ringer by the wife with projects then dragging myself to bed to get 5 hrs. of sleep and head back to work. We had a abnormal amount of rain this year that has really set back our normal schedule.

From my jumbo balsa wood pack I cut the lengths required to make the box that will sit in the picture frame that will have the part submerged T72 in it.

The piece behind the Vallejo bottle is the rear piece and will stay that height. The side panels will be roughly the angle of the pencil to where that sits on the Tamiya paint jar, the front panel will also be about that height. Once I get the CTT and Sherman finished I will start a new build thread for this one.

A rough side view of what I plan.

The green ground area will be up against the rear wall, and the tank in sketch is facing front with the turret and barrel swung over the side going in the water…

I’ve been interior decorating like Ryan and John. :hammer_and_wrench::paintbrush:

Over the last couple of days, I got some major masking and painting out of the way…

Vallejo Interior Grey Green (71.305)
The inner floor was textured with Mr. Surfacer 1500 (grey) using a stippling brush.

I’m recovering from cataract surgery and am temporarily without depth perception. I can’t paint, weather, or assemble, so I’m removing parts from the spruces, cleaning the gates and mold parting seams, and bagging by assembly step.

You just keep moving forward…

Thanks! I was hoping that you’d see it and give me some feedback on this.

I like the sherman-variants. There is a armored personel carrier-version too, would like to see a model of this

Not very much happened this weekend. It’s that hot, everyone is waiting for thunderstorm, or just a little rain, but it don’t came until now. It’s more time to read.
Wish you all a nice week :v:

I have a soft spot for the Tamiya Chieftain; mainly I suppose as I have a couple in my stash, despite other manufacturers’ efforts. With a bit of work it still builds up into a nice enough kit I feel.

I even have this ancient version, which I hope to combine with the later model to produce a half-decent prototype - one day(!)

I wonder if that Vallejo grey/green would be a good/better US military vehicle interior color? I’ve been using Tamiya Sky so far, but happy to change over.

An exact match is Krylon Pistachio spray. We actually used it for touch-ups on our vehicles in the Army. Tamiya Sky is close, but too light.

Damn it I guess it’s back to lows to sneak another spray paint into the house without the wife seeing it. I hope she doesn’t open that cabinet in the kitchen any time soon.
