Good to know.

I’ve been looking at the IBG Spits, might look at getting the recce version. Have they done a V yet? I’ve got quite a few of the Airfix Vc’s for the little project. Remember the Italeri Vb being a difficult build.

I’ve just remembered that Tamiya did a Vb. Don’t often see those.

currently only Mk.1 & 2 plus the PR versions

Stephen the newer KP kits are very nice but the older ones can be a bit so so, don’t forget the new tool IBG kits although a little bit more expensive.]

An early (Vb) in 1/72 from Eduard is also imminent :cowboy_hat_face:

Interesting scheme. Looks very modern. Russian? Something Putin pressed into service?

Interesting. That would be fantastic coming from them.

It reminds me more of the funky WW1 camos. The eduard instructions have some more info on it, it was on an Italy based bomber that launched attacks on Malta. Malta seems to be a camouflage playground for both ground vehicles and aircraft. It’s the standard RLM 70/71 with some RLM 65 and RLM79 patches over top

Well an early ‘Christmas’ present to myself, one from Poland and the other via my Eduard bunny club.

So a P-51 that will become a F-51D-20 of the post war Italian AF with the ‘Look’ IP set. Plus an overtrees P-51D that may become a Haitian AF machine.

Smoke ring decals, smoke ring mask, poached egg mask and spinach masks. Plus PE for Mc.200 and Cr.42 and a ‘Look’ IP for a Bf-109G-10 and some Mc.202 bits.

My Christmas present to myself I bought yesterday. Always wanted a PR Mossie.

That’s a nice gift to yourself Stephen…

Have been holding off on adding a Mossie to the stash squadron to see what Special Hobby were able to produce, but after seeing the reviews… and that Airfix were willing to back and correct their kit, I think I’ll go with theirs, also

Typically I bought a correction set for the B.XVI a few months ago, only for them to reissue the kit WITH CORRECTED PARTS! They even did the towed target to fit to the originals bay doors. It is great they listened to the criticism and put it right.

I might offer them for sale here or eBay. Someone probably has an older boxing.

I can’t find any errors so far on the PR kit. Besides from a couple of things that need trimming on the undercarriage legs. There are some stubs at the bottom of the legs that are mounting points for trestles the museum aircraft is fixed to.

Special Hobby will likely put out a great kit. Looking forward to seeing it myself.

There’s a lot of internet grumbling about the shape of the fuselage on the Special Hobby kit…

Airfix will get my vote on this one :clap::clap::cowboy_hat_face:

Really? I’ll have to do a bit of digging into that. They look like they have a few interesting versions though like the big nose night fighters. Which have been long overdue since Tamiya discontinued theirs.

Must keep a lookout and have a proper look at the plastic.

Opened a Christmas present I brought for myself as I’m working on the 25th and the 4 days after.

There’s a bit of a theme here and it will continue with some purchases ordered over the ‘holidays’.

Well a delivery arrived today a lot quicker than expected.

Another 262, then continuing with my Italian collection although I found there is no 1/48 Caproni Campini N1 so have had to settle on a 1/72 version.
